Unfortunately many of the haberdasheries that are in my surrounding area have closed down or are closing . Some that are around tend to have limited stock which is a real shame for those like myself who get lost in all things to do with sewing. Its almost like being Lost in Jane Austen but its sewing.
I frequently visited Paris to source beautiful quality haberdashery like the above metallic thread which does not knot or fray when sewing. This metalic thread will be used to embellish cotton over the knee stockings that are plain in design.
